Love Begins Within

We so often seek outside of ourselves to find the answers. We read books, talk to friends, attend workshop & conferences. While all these options can be helpful and I am a huge advocate of learning from the masters, we have a tendency to overlook one of our greatest resources...our higher self. Yes, we all have the access to find the answers to our questions if we just look within. Take the time regularly, I recommend daily, and it doesn't need to be long, but just do it. Quiet your mind of your 'to do list', focus your attention on your heart center and connect with the true essence of your Self, your Source, your true nature ~ love.

When we take the time to connect with love, we can then more easily carry that into our daily activities and relationships. You will find your day runs more smoothly, you have a more optimistic attitude, you live with more compassion, and life is just more fun! Trust me, it's worth it.

A Season of Release

The autumn season is upon us and I often look to nature as an example. This time of year is a beautiful analogy to remind us to shed old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us. Just like the trees transitioning for the future season, the wonderful foliage that may have served them in the past is no longer suited for the circumstances of what lies ahead, we too need to let go of what no longer serves us to allow us to live our lives to the fullest.

It is a wonderful time to reflect on our thoughts and belief patterns, to see what is holding us back from fully embracing our greatness and moving forward. It is not always easy to admit and face some of the fears or beliefs that we have developed through life’s experiences, but to have the courage to acknowledge and be willing to let go of them is a huge step in opening the way for our true selves to emerge.

So, I would like to remind you to take the time for you. Reflect on your dreams, and then ask yourself, if I were not afraid what would I do? What is holding me back? Identify a belief that is limiting you from fulfilling your dreams. Once you identify it, thank the belief or thought pattern for serving you in the past and recognize it is not necessary any longer. Then release and let it go! Feel the freedom...

Open your mind and heart to the possibilities and keep an eye out for miracles to present themselves to you! Its time to live your life, you have a special gift to share with the world and you are worth it!!

The Institute for Cultural Awareness presents a historic International multicultural gathering and sacred pilgrimage welcoming Indigenous elders and future wisdom keepers representing the voice of Mother Earth, beginning Earth Day weekend, April 18-28, 2009 throughout Northern Arizona. The heart of the gathering will be the 4th reunion of the Continental Council of Indigenous Elders and Spiritual Guides of the Americas. The Union of the Male and the Female

Venus and Mars will be within orb of a conjunction for the duration of the gathering. In layman's terms, when two planets are conjunct it means they're right on top of each other, on or near the same degree of the zodiac. Coming out of the later degrees of Pisces, Venus and Mars will conjunct the Aries Point between the 21st and the 23rd of April. In my opinion, those three days are loaded with significance — and I'll tell you why.

Venus is the female archetype; Mars is the male. Whenever they form a conjunction it implies that the Male and the Female are vibrating in unison because there's nothing to separate them when they're this close together. Everyone knows how rare it is for the male and the female to be in synch with each other — but when it happens, the sense of love and oneness is so complete we connect automatically with the unity that pervades all of life. During the gathering the emanations from the Venus-Mars conjunction will infuse the event with a feeling of unity that's bound to remove every barrier. With no duality, the polarity factor that always exists just won't be there.

If that sounds wonderful, it gets even better. The two planets will conjunct the Aries Point pretty much the whole time. That aspect will be closest to exact between the 21st and the 23rd of April. To make things more interesting, the Moon will join Venus, Mars, and the Aries Point on April 22nd. My hunch is that the most important ceremony will be held on that day.
I say this for a number of reasons. The Aries Point is loaded with significance, but one of the things it represents is "all of humanity". From the standpoint of Mother Earth, that point is doubly significant because it governs the descending axis of her horoscope (Yes, Mother Earth has her own horoscope) or the angle that represents who and what she decides to be in relationship with. Because we are her children, and she is our Mother, we are in a primary relationship with Mother Earth — and that's why the Aries Point has come to symbolize all of humanity.

Any transit to this point sets up a resonance that ripples out and impacts large segments of the human population. Ultimately, planets moving over the Aries Point have the potential to touch absolutely everyone. With Venus and Mars functioning in unison, or the male and the female vibrating on the same frequency, what do you suppose will happen when the two planets come together on the point that rules every man, woman, and child? If I'm right about the dates between April 21st and April 23rd, the Elders couldn't choose a better time to do ceremony — because on those three days the law of correspondence will instill a sense of unity and oneness that will reinforce our efforts to focus our energies on the creation of a new vision for the planet.
If the Venus-Mars-Aries Point conjunction isn't enough, the Moon will cross the Aries Point, and join Venus and Mars at approximately 8AM on April 22nd. I am pretty sure there will be a big ceremony on that day because the planetary influences are perfect for it — and this will be the one that the public gets to participate in, because the Moon holds rulership over the general public too; when it meets the Aries Point that energy multiplies times two — so I have a feeling April 22nd, and the days on either side, will bring us all together as one, totally unified presence. And because the Moon also rules the plant, and animal, and mineral kingdoms, you can bet that the soul of every living thing will be there for it.

Age of Aquarius

In mid February, a rare astrological concentration brings together a number of planets together with the North Node – denoting higher purpose – in Aquarius that energizes and inspires the possibility for transcendental breakthrough in some perhaps seemingly intransigent situations.

We measure our global sense of both space (latitude and longitude) and time (universal time – UT or GMT) from the prime meridian located at Greenwich, England. So we can perceive the collective influence of this momentous astrological event by looking at the alignment from this globally “centered” perspective.

When we do something extraordinary and exquisite emerges.

At dawn on 14th February the day dedicated to St. Valentine, the patron saint of Love, the Moon in Libra enters the seventh house of relationship and Jupiter and Mars are aligned in Aquarius in the twelfth house of spiritual transformation.

Forty years ago, the intuitive words of a song called Aquarius, brought the dawning of the new age into our collective awareness:

When the Moon is in the seventh house

And Jupiter aligns with Mars

Then peace will guide the planets

And love will steer the stars

At dawn on 14th of February, the Cosmos actually embodies this perfect alignment to support our collective manifestation of love and peace and dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

The Aquarian chart of 14th February reveals an incredible concentration of cosmic influences blending with the energies of Aquarius in the twelfth house. Expansive Jupiter and energetic Mars are aligned with the higher purpose of the North Node. The presence of Chiron the wounded healer offers us the opportunity to heal the schisms that have separated us for so long. Neptune emphasizes collective humanitarian movements and the co-creation of social justice, and the presence of the radiant Sun enlightens the entire alignment.

Mercury also in the twelfth house just beyond the cusp in Capricorn, allies with transformational Pluto to communicate and anchor the Shift throughout our global structures and institutions.

The Moon in Libra in the seventh house emphasizes harmonious real-ationships.

Venus in Aries in the first house energizes and empowers dynamic co-creativity. Whilst Saturn the great task master in opposition to Uranus the unexpected awakener is suggesting an ongoing confrontation as the dregs of the unsustainable old paradigm reluctantly give way to the untested hope of the new, their placements in Virgo and Pisces brings practical altruism and visionary inspiration to the transition.

At 7:25AM on 14th February - and for the 18 minutes of the alignment, I invite you, in the universal heart, to add your own intention for love and peace and to co-create the dawning of the Age of Aquarius to that of the Cosmos. In whatever way feels appropriate for you, you may choose to align with 7:25AM (UT) or 7:25AM local time energizing a wave of intention that will surge around the Earth.

The feeling and emotion of gratitude is transformational! This is also an ideal energy and state of being for us to be in to bring about your creative desires. It raises our energy level to allow beautiful creations to come into reality. Try it and enjoy the miracles that unfold!

Imagine Peace Tower

The Imagine Peace Tower is an art installation in Rehkjavik, Iceland, that was conceived by Yoko Ono in honor of John Lennon.

The Imagine Peace Tower stands on a platform with a cylindrical 'Wishing Well' constructed of slabs of pure white glass, inscribed with 'Imagine Peace' in 24 languages. Emitting 15 powerful beams of light skyward from the floor of the Wishing Well. Buried around the platform are time capsules with wishes or intentions collected from people around the world over the past few decades by Yoko Ono as part of her interactive artwork project called 'Wish Tree'. The concept is that the beams of light shine and projects the intentions and wishes of peace that have been collected from around the globe.

"I hope the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER will give light to the strong wishes of World Peace from all corners of the planet and give encouragement, inspiration and a sense of solidarity in a world now filled with fear and confusion.
